Built for working sites.
Supplied new, used or built to your spec, and delivered nationwide by our truck-mounted crane fleet.
The 24ft x 10ft Jackleg Open Plan Split divides the shell into two equal rooms of 3526mm, separated by a full-height partition. Each room has its own door in the side wall, so the two halves work independently with no way through between them.
Neither room is fitted out to a set use, so the space can serve as an office and a stores, two crews sharing one unit, or a canteen beside a drying room. Standard jackleg construction throughout: plastic-coated steel exterior, 12.5mm painted plasterboard lining with a 30-minute fire rating, double-glazed uPVC windows, a wired consumer unit and LOT 20 compliant panel heaters.
Available for sale or hire, delivered and lifted into position by our own truck-mounted crane fleet.
Comfort, quality and reliability.
Our cabins are built to a higher specification than most on the market: warmer, better finished and made to stand up to years of site use. Pick a part of the build to see what’s behind the walls.
A treated timber deck that stays dry and flat.
C24-grade joists and runners carry a tongue-and-groove deck, with a reflective membrane that works as both thermal barrier and vapour control. Insulated between the joists as standard and finished in anti-slip vinyl throughout.
A pressed panel on a C24 frame, clad in steel.
A 52mm pressed wall panel with a high-density EPS core, fixed to a C24 timber frame. Leather-grain plastisol steel outside, white vinyl-faced plasterboard inside.
Tapered joists under a seamless membrane.
Tapered C24 joists give a natural fall so water runs off without gutters or scaffolding. Mineral wool sits above a ventilated plasterboard ceiling to stop condensation.
Secure steel door. Double-glazed windows.
An insulated steel pass door with 8-point security locking as standard, or a uPVC door if you prefer. White double-glazed uPVC windows with integrated trickle vents.
Delivered fitted out, wired, lit and heated.
Every cabin arrives ready to use: maintenance-free PVC trim throughout, fully pre-wired with fixtures and fittings installed, LED lighting and electric panel heaters as standard.
What is a jackleg cabin?
A jackleg cabin is a steel-framed, portable site cabin with adjustable legs (“jacks”) that allow it to be levelled on uneven ground. The construction is lighter than antivandal: making it cost-effective for offices, staff canteens, drying rooms, and other site facilities where heavy steel security construction isn’t the priority.
Apex roof or convex roof, which should I choose?
Convex is the standard rounded steel roof, robust and weather-tight. Apex is the pitched profile. The pitched profile delivers greater internal headroom and a more premium feel throughout. The choice usually comes down to budget and how the cabin will be used; we’re happy to talk through both for your site.
What comes fitted as standard in a jackleg cabin?
Every unit ships with LOT 20 compliant panel heaters, internal lighting, sockets, and full insulation. Walls are finished in 12.5mm plasterboard. Canteens are fitted with a sink unit and undercounter water heater as standard. Specific layouts (office, canteen, drying room, security hut) come with the appropriate fit-out for the room type.
Can multiple cabins be linked together on-site?
Yes, cabins can be positioned side-by-side or end-to-end and linked with door openings or covered walkways to form a larger site facilities block. We can plan the layout with you in advance so the delivered units arrive ready to combine.
Do you supply drying rooms?
Yes. Our drying room cabins are fitted with freestanding coathooks and benches, with lockers also available on request. The LOT 20 panel heaters and ventilation keep wet weather gear dry between shifts.
Do you deliver across Ireland?
Yes. Every Hayes Cabin Services unit is delivered nationwide from our base in West Cork. The truck-mounted cranes in our fleet lift the unit off the truck and position it exactly where you need it on-site, so no separate crane is required. RAMS and a lift plan produced by our appointed person are issued in advance for every delivery as standard, and all lifting equipment is GA1 certified.
How quickly can you deliver?
Most deliveries are scheduled within 48 to 72 hours of order confirmation, subject to stock and route. For specialist modifications or bespoke builds the lead time is longer. We’ll confirm a firm date in writing before invoice.
