Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026. This policy is a working draft prepared for launch and should be reviewed by your legal advisor before going live.
Who we are
Hayes Cabin Services Ltd (“Hayes”, “we”, “us”) is a portable accommodation supplier registered in Ireland, with its place of business at Castlefreke, Clonakilty, Co. Cork, P85 X227. For any privacy query, contact us at info@hayescabins.ie or 023 884 8395.
What we collect and why
We collect personal data only where we need it to respond to you or fulfil a contract:
- Enquiries: when you submit an enquiry, ring, email or WhatsApp us, we hold your name, contact details and the content of your enquiry so we can respond, prepare quotes and arrange delivery. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- Customers, for orders and hires we hold billing, delivery and site-contact details for the duration of the engagement and as required afterwards for tax and warranty purposes. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
- Website. Our hosting infrastructure records standard server logs (IP address, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure service.
- Analytics. We measure how the site is used, including pages viewed, the site or search engine you arrived from, approximate country and device type. This is done with Plausible Analytics, which is privacy-focused by design: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and uses no persistent identifier, and the statistics it produces are aggregated so that individual visitors are not identified and are not tracked across sites, devices or visits. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding and improving how our website performs.
Third-party processors
Enquiry forms are processed by Jobber (Octopusapp Inc.), our client-management system. Website analytics are provided by Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia), which processes and stores its data within the European Union. Our website is hosted on managed infrastructure with content delivery and security services. We do not sell or share personal data for marketing purposes.
Retention
Enquiry data that doesn’t lead to an engagement is reviewed and deleted periodically. Customer records are held for the period required by Irish tax law (currently 6 years) after the engagement ends. Website analytics are held only in aggregate form and contain no personal data.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. To exercise any right, email info@hayescabins.ie. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
Cookies
This site runs with the minimum of cookies. The only cookie set is a strictly necessary one used by our security and content delivery provider to tell genuine visitors from automated traffic, and strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. Our analytics do not use cookies at all, which is why you are not asked to accept a cookie banner on this site. If cookies for analytics or marketing are ever introduced, consent will be requested before they are set.
